About the roles

General Manager
Licketyspit Theatre & Play Company
Full time £34,000 – £37,000

Licketyspit seeks an experienced and highly motivated General Manager who will have a high level of responsibility and work closely within our core team at the heart of our wider network of freelance actor-pedagogues and Associate Artists. You will have confidence overseeing finance and operations, working closely with the Artistic Director/CEO to support company development and fundraising.

Licketyspit is a small dynamic and pioneering theatre and play organisation with 20 years’ experience. Our work is firmly rooted in the arts and our child centred Storyplay approach has increasingly informed a highly developed understanding of how we can support the development, wellbeing and happiness of early years children and their families and communities.

Licketyspit is a national company based in Glasgow where it has strong connections with local and national partners and our large Children & Families’ Network who share our aims and ethos. Their appreciation and insight into our work is highly rewarding for the staff team.

Creative Producer (Children & Families Network)

Full time £29,000 – £34,000

Licketyspit is looking for a Creative Producer for our Children & Families Network (CFN) who is passionate about children’s rights, play and the power of the arts to foster inclusive communities.

The CFN producer is a key role within the core team of Licketyspit, a small dynamic national company. You will be someone who can confidently develop strong relationships with our diverse families and key local and national partners. Children’s rights-based consultation and skilled family engagement are at the heart of your work. You will lead on our online and face-to-face family engagement, with the role including Storyplay session delivery alongside our Actor-Pedagogues, communication management, project management and partnership building.

We are seeking a self-motivated, capable, outgoing, tech savvy, creative person with knowledge and understanding of the challenges associated with poverty, isolation and trauma, who shares our belief in the ability of the arts to empower families and communities and transform the lives of children.

Your induction will include training in our Storyplay approach, the rights-based methodology that underpins Licketyspit’s work. This postholder will increasingly play a pivotal role in the company’s strategic development and policy work.
