Big Porridge & Play Online

Every 2 weeks on Fridays 4.30-6pm. Sessions take place on Zoom. The sessions are currently full but please get in touch if you would like to join our Children & Families Network and join the waiting list. For more info click here.

Big Porridge & Play Govan

We are excited to announce that Porridge & Play is arriving in Govan for autumn 2022! Sessions will run on Tuesday afternoons at the Pearce Institute (4-6.15pm). We will have a 6-week block starting on Tuesday 11th October (4-6.15pm). How can I take part? Families can join our Children & Families Network to get further information and reminders nearer the start of the project. The launch session will be open to all. You will be able to sign up for the following sessions at the launch. If we are over subscribed, we will prioritise families with children between 3-8 years living in the local area. We can’t wait to see lots of our old friends – and make some new ones! More information here.

Storyplay City

Storyplay City is back! Our online sessions are back from February 4th 2023! Picnic & Play at the Hidden Gardens!

Hidden Gardens

Children aged 3-8 and their families are invited to the magical hidden gardens for a day of imaginary play, delicious food and discovering nature’s secrets! From 11:00 – 12:30 Licketyspit will lead a Storyplay session in the secret glade, where you’ll take part in games, songs and stories from around the world. At 12:30, Kin Kitchen will serve a delicious picnic prepared by their volunteers, which we can all share together in the garden. The first part of the event (Storyplay & Picnic) must be booked in advance by emailing ruby@licketyspit.com or texting 07413 800 342. Sign up now! Drop in Workshops From 13:00-15:00 you can take part in a range of family workshops in the garden that are drop-in. These include: creating your own window-ledge planter, making a lavender pouch to put under your pillow, taking a guided tour round the gardens, sharing recipes and culinary creations. The workshops will be run by Hidden Gardens & Kin Kitchen. These events are part of Refugee Festival Scotland 2023. They will be an opportunity to connect with your children, your imagination and the natural world. We hope they plant seeds for stories, friendships and community to grow. Picnic & Play at the Tall Ship

Picnic & Play at the Tall Ship! Thursday 27th July 11.30am - 2pm Meet us there! The address is Tall Ship Glenlee, 150 Pointhouse Place, G3 8RS. Note that the ship is on the north side of the river, near Whiteinch and next to the Riverside Museum. Partick train, subway and bus station is a 15 minute walk away, or it's about a 30 minute walk from Whiteinch Library. Let your imagination go wild with our Storyplay games and enjoy a delicious picnic with other local families. Places are limited, so please get in touch if you would like to attend.
