Forest Storyplay with our Whiteinch Hub!
2025-09-02T16:57:07+00:00A very rainy day doesn’t stop FOREST STORYPLAY because our Whiteinch Hub pals are a very happy bunch! The rain came after all these hot days we’ve had in Glasgow and it is a good thing really because the trees and plants get very thirsty in the hot sun. Forest Storyplay at The Children’s Wood truly is a Storyplay session for all weathers and our brilliant Whiteinch Hub families had put on their waterproofs and their imaginations ready for their turn! One of the best things about Licketyspit’s Summer trips is when we get to see each other after a good while and everyone is so delighted! There were hugs and smiles all around. The tarpaulins – which are big cloths that we tie to tree brunches to create cover from the rain – were up between the tree-tops so we had a couple of dry areas to play and have lunch under but of course the rest of The Children’s Wood was fully available to run around, get muddy and find all sorts of interesting bugs – ask bug expert Milad! Funky Chicken brought us Semra as ‘The Crazy Bee’, Milad as ‘The Scary Mouse’, Shalah as ‘The Scary Chicken’ and Nedaa as 'The Slithering Snake’ to name but a few!
