16th September 2019 We had a fantastic first week of LicketyLeap at St Mary's. It was great to meet everyone in Primary 1a and Primary 1b - thank you for coming on the adventure with Margaret & Margaret! Have they told you anything about it? You can find out more about the story in Come & Play - here! Virginia, Taz, Ruby and Rita are really looking forward to meeting the parents, carers and families of Primary 1 this week for Session 2. This is where you are invited to watch the film of your child doing LicketyLeap and hear more about the story. The LicketyLeap experience can have a very positive impact on your child's learning and development and it is really great for them if you can share the experience with them in Session 2, so we really hope you can come. Have your children told you anything about their journey with Margaret To find out more about Storyplay, click here, and visit the St Mary's Storyplay page to see what we did last year, and find photos and drawings from Storyplay at St Mary's. We'll also be doing Playcard Play and Porridge & Play in October, so keep your eyes peeled for a letter inviting you to join your child and their class for a relaxed, drama-led play and food session at school with Licketyspit. Oakwood Storyplay Rhymes

2020-01-31T16:24:27+00:00

We had a brilliant time creating warm-up action rhymes with P6 at Oakwood Primary School.  See their creative work below! Make yourself as SHINEY as a UNICORN, And as SPIKEY as a THORN, As HARD as a ROCK, And as SMELLY as a SOCK, As COOL as a KITSOON, And as ROUND as a MOON! Like a SPOON from TROON! Make yourself as BRIGHT as the SUN, As CUTE as ma HON, As BIG as a BUN And as HEAVY as a TONNE, Like a DISCO BALL that’s SPUN. Make yourself as Sticky as honey And as big as Bugs Bunny Who is very very funny And likes to eat money He sells a lot of carrots To buy gummy for his mummy And I think that’s very funny Cos the carrots they are yummy!
