Week 1 of Bridgeton Porridge & Play!!

Friday 11th March

We have had so much fun at our first Porridge and Play Bridgeton session on Friday 11th March at the wonderful Church House where we played all sorts of games outside with our coats and jackets on but not before we had a lovely feast with soup, bread and fruit all around the same table!

The session was fun and it was so much fun to meet again with all our families! We really loved seeing all the fantastic grown-ups fully taking part! Seeing Moria take part in Funky Chicken was a real highlight. We sang our rhymes load and proud shouting out Big as a Bear! Right from the start. It was so lovely to see you all again and we can’t wait for even more weeks of fun!

Funky Chicken a whole lot of fun where we meet lots of cool animals! It was a pleasure to see adults and children playing together! We loved hearing Sulman say ‘Do you know the Donkey?’ and what an amazingly fun Donkey it was!

‘This is the Funky Chicken, that was my favourite game! Niamate told us when we were doing our reflective drawing.

Some of our favourite moments at the Porridge & Play Bridgeton?

This a man, this is the Funky Chicken, that was my favourite game .’

Niamate

A house and a flower and a rainbow.’

Zainah

‘The balloon going up in the air and seeing the sharks and the trees.’

Emilia & Moria

Strawberries and balloons and a shark.’

Lexi

That’s a siren head fighting a tornado. Grandma Grandma is my favourite.’

Alan

Shark that we saw in balloons. (Another picture she did with Caitlin & Mariam) – a watermelon, an apple and a banana.’

Malek

Giant, Saw it when I was up in the sky in the balloons. She was eating chocolate. She was a bad one and it tried to get me. My favourite games was the balloon game.’

Rayna

Our Flying Balloons Adventure with our Pirate Captains!

We also went on our Flying Balloons! We blew them up and flew right over Glasgow where we saw all sorts of things! With Malek finding a Shark, Emilia & Moria also saw the sharks and the trees with everyone and Rayna saw a  Giant! The Giant was HUGE! In the sky in the balloons. She was eating chocolate. She was a bad one and it tried to get me but luckly we escaped. However, we could not escape the naughty seagulls that popped our balloons

See the popped balloons remind me of my grandma so we had too sing her favour song Grandma Gandma and Miss Mary Mac which was so beautifully sang by everyone but then we where suddenly interrupted by Pirates who asked us to join there crew and gave us lots of things too do! We met Pirate Captain Alan who was great at giving us all our orders and being a fantastic leader.

We had so much fun with you all! And we can’t wait for our next adventures!
