Week 5 of Cranhill Porridge & Play!!

Thursday 21st April

It was so great to see everyone back after the break. We couldn’t believe we’d had two full weeks off, it felt like we’d never been away!

We got stuck in with our Big as a Bear warm up and our Funky Chicken, and after singing a couple of our favourite songs (Grandma Grandma and Jelly On His Head) it was time to dress up!

This week we decided to dress up as Witches! We met so many fascinating Witches at Cranhill Porridge & Play!

Fascinating means extremely interesting

First there was Rytoy the Silly Witch. Rytoy loves to make people laugh and she uses a magic potion to do it…. She wouldn’t tell us what the potion was though! She said it has too many secret ingredients in it….

Then there was Ninja Witch Amber! She is a very very sneaky Witch, when mum’s not looking she likes to sneak into the kitchen and take biscuits! And she wasn’t the only sneaky witch – we also had Sneaky Witch Bukunmi who likes people to think she is a very very bad Witch, but after a bit of talk we realised this Sneaky Witch only uses her karate powers on people who are bad. If you’re a nice person she won’t hurt you and she might even help you out if you get into a bad situation!

Then we met Shaylin the Happy Witch, who loves to help other people be happy. She does this by creating all sort of things that make people smile, like flowers and animals and even rainbows. Lucky for us, she showed us the magic hand movements she does to create rainbows and we all tried together to make a gigantic beautiful rainbow. It was gorgeous!!!

Gigantic means huge! Like an elephant which is known as a gigantic animal!

The final Witch we spoke to was a new witch called Jaxon – Jaxon is a very cool Witch. She also likes to help people and also helps animals. Jaxon is an expert at helping mum with the baby as well, which is great.

Can you think of what kind of Witch you might be?

Or is there more about your Witch you want us to know? Why don’t you draw us a picture of your Witch… or if you want you can write a story where your Witch goes on an adventure? We would love to hear all about it!

See you next week for our big celebration week! We can’t wait!!!
