Woodland Creatures in Whiteinch

Porridge & Play Whiteinch Week 4

Wednesday 2nd November 2022

Well, what a fabulous pack of wolves and woodland creatures we encountered today at Whiteinch!

As we gathered in the forest, it was delightful to meet Eeman the kangaroo, Frankey the Fox, Ellie the Magical Animal, Aseel the bat and Zofia Zebra and they were all so friendly. It turned out, that in this forest, as in many, I suspect, the Wolf is the only creature to own a watch and so the animals must ask politely for the time. I say politely, because…

We definitely didn’t want to be rude and get eaten as scrumptious snacks by Wolfy!

Anyway, we quickly gathered that there were a number of amazing wolves living in this forest and they all had incredibly fancy watches!

The first one we happened upon was Rainbow Wolf Juliet and she liked to look for food at 6pm, so we all had to run pretty quickly and hide up the trees so she didn’t catch us. Just when we thought we were home and dry, we found Frankey the football wolf, who’d got his watch from the Galaxy. At 5pm he goes to Morrisons to buy food, so that was lucky for us!

He clearly prefers going to the supermarket.

Wolf Clare then miraculously appeared and explained that she lives on Cheese Moon and likes to pick up Stinky cheese and eat it!

Extremely smelly!!!

She got her watch at M&S and likes to visit her friends on the Moon at 5 0’clock.

Well, that was good for us, because she had to blast off on her rocket and we were still uneaten! Phew!

Then the forest began to turn a bit sparkly and there in front of us, was Ellie the Sparkly Wolf, who was living in an amazing Magical House. It seemed that the Fairy Knight had gifted her the watch she was wearing. We even got to meet him and he let us in because we were friends of Sparkly Wolf.  She did say she liked to eat people, which was a bit scary, but not us, because we were  forest creatures, so luckily we were ok! Then she ended up making us all shrink for a while and we weren’t sure how to get back to our normal size,  but her friend made us bigger and when we could feel ourselves going back to normal, we caught sight of Mermaid Wolf who stood in front of us with a sparkly pink watch and we knew we were home in the forest.

By this time though, we were so hungry, we needed to eat, so we baked a delicious cake with eggs, icing sugar, strawberries, hard chocolate,  an explosion, flour, baking powder, chilli, marshmallows, toe-nails, boogers, mint , seaweed, Rainbow icing, sprinkles, double pepperoni pizza and more orange icing and to top it off, The Magic Pin! This last ingredient made it turn into an edible pink castle where we all went inside and had a nibble. What a lovely treat! The cushion on the sofa tasted a bit chocolatey,  a bit smelly toe-nails and a bit marshmallowy! Yum!
