  • Porridge & Play Tasters – BOOK NOW

    Hello Govan, Ruchill and Whiteinch!! Schools, nurseries, youth groups, family groups and other organisations working with children & families can now book a free taster for Porridge & Play in your area. We have slots available on the week's beginning 29th August and 26th September.   • Storyplay Festival!

    We're holding our FIRST EVER Storyplay Festival next month! Saturday 17th September 11am-4pm Dassie Green (in Glasgow Green, G40 1HU) For families with 3-8 year olds (older/younger siblings welcome). Let us know if you're planning to come by emailing cfn@licketyspit.com. Travel costs provided, jump on a Licketyspit bus or reclaim the cost of your ticket on the day. Contact us to register for the event for all details. We're coming! A celebration of Porridge & Play Hubs The Storyplay Festival is a celebration of our New Scots Integration project Porridge & Play Hubs. Families we've been working with in Cranhill, Castlemilk & Bridgeton will be sharing their new ALLSCOT PLAYCARDS for the very first time.

  • Big Porridge & Play Govan

    We are excited to announce that Porridge & Play is arriving in Govan for autumn 2022! Sessions will run on Tuesday afternoons at the Pearce Institute (4-6.15pm). We will have a 6-week block starting on Tuesday 11th October (4-6.15pm). How can I take part? Families can join our Children & Families Network to get further information and reminders nearer the start of the project. The launch session will be open to all. You will be able to sign up for the following sessions at the launch. If we are over subscribed, we will prioritise families with children between 3-8 years living in the local area. We can’t wait to see lots of our old friends – and make some new ones! More information here.

    We are excited to announce that Porridge & Play will be BACK in Whiteinch for autumn 2022! Sessions will run on Wednesday afternoons at Whiteinch Library. We will have a 6-week block starting on Wednesday 12th October (4-6.15pm) The launch session will be open to all. You will be able to sign up for the following sessions at the launch. Sessions will run on Saturday afternoons at the Pavilion, in collaboration with North United Communities We will have a 6-week block starting on Saturday 15th October (3-5.15pm) The launch session will be open to all.     Storyplay City is back! Our online sessions are back from February 4th 2023! So far in 2023 the Licketyspit team has delivered after school and weekend Porridge & Play in community partner venues and online, as well as exciting Picnic & Play trips to outdoor, arts and cultural spaces over the summer holidays. Bridgeton (May 23) Castlemilk (July 23) Cranhill (May 23) Govan (May 23) Still to come... Porridge & Play is coming to Maryhill, Whiteinch & our Online community this Autumn! REGISTER YOUR INTEREST. Maryhill (Tues 3rd Oct, Fri 13th, Tues 17th, 24th, 31st, ) Online (October block) Whiteinch (Wednesdays; Oct 18th, 25th, 1st Nov, 8th, 15th) Local families with 3-8 year olds can take part in the sessions which include Storyplay games, rhymes, songs, dressing up & imaginary play, a healthy and nutritious communal meal and shared reflective drawing. Older and younger siblings can also attend.
