Ibrox Storyplay Celebration Assembly

2020-01-31T16:31:13+00:00

We rounded off a fantastic five-week Storyplay Residency at Ibrox Primary and Nursery with a joyous whole-school assembly. 10 parents and carers joined us and joined in with all the pupils and teachers in Big as a Bear led by Taz, Funky Chicken led by Primary 3, Grandma Grandma led by Primary 5, In the Way of the Word led by Primary 7 and Miss Mary Mac led by Primary 6! It was brilliant to see the older children dressed up and setting a wonderful example of exuberant imaginary play for the rest of the school and the nursery, and it was clear how much they were entertaining each other and enjoying the relaxed "ceilidh-style" sharing of some of the Storyplay games, rhymes and songs. We were also thrilled to have our Licketyspit Ambassador Tam Baillie talk to everyone about the importance of Children's Rights and the United Nationals Convention of the Rights of the Child. Thanks to all the parents who came along and joined in too! If you haven't done so yet, you can sign up to our Children and Families Network to find out about other Licketyspit projects around Glasgow. We've really enjoyed working with everyone at Ibrox and hope to be back soon. Ibrox Storyplay Week 3

2020-01-31T16:31:43+00:00

Week 3 Storyplay Residency at Ibrox Primary It was great to be back at Ibrox Primary for a third round of Storyplay! We worked with the Nursery for the first time, as well as Primary 7 who dressed up to play a marvellous Wink Murder. Taz popped into several classes for a Session 2 catch up. We played a few more games and it was brilliant to see how much everyone remembered and hear more of your creative ideas for imaginary play and stories. Looking forward to coming back for the Celebration Assembly on March 12th!

Wink Murder in the Enchanted Forest

2020-01-31T16:32:34+00:00

20th February 2019 Wink Murder, What Are You Doing, and how to explain the Licketyspit games. We were visited by several Detectives from far away places in Wink Murder today. Detective Scott came all the way from America, and Detective Carmen came from Japan! One of our dinner parties was in an Enchanted Forest, where an owl flew in and dropped a Magic Ring that made us sing when we tried it on. Then a knife appeared under a Red Rock, and we knew something was amiss. Sure enough, people started dying left right and centre, before the Detective found the Murderer!
