We rounded off a fantastic five-week Storyplay Residency at Ibrox Primary and Nursery with a joyous whole-school assembly. 10 parents and carers joined us and joined in with all the pupils and teachers in Big as a Bear led by Taz, Funky Chicken led by Primary 3, Grandma Grandma led by Primary 5, In the Way of the Word led by Primary 7 and Miss Mary Mac led by Primary 6! It was brilliant to see the older children dressed up and setting a wonderful example of exuberant imaginary play for the rest of the school and the nursery, and it was clear how much they were entertaining each other and enjoying the relaxed "ceilidh-style" sharing of some of the Storyplay games, rhymes and songs. We were also thrilled to have our Licketyspit Ambassador Tam Baillie talk to everyone about the importance of Children's Rights and the United Nationals Convention of the Rights of the Child. Week 3 Storyplay Residency at Ibrox Primary It was great to be back at Ibrox Primary for a third round of Storyplay! We worked with the Nursery for the first time, as well as Primary 7 who dressed up to play a marvellous Wink Murder. Taz popped into several classes for a Session 2 catch up. We played a few more games and it was brilliant to see how much everyone remembered and hear more of your creative ideas for imaginary play and stories. Looking forward to coming back for the Celebration Assembly on March 12th!
