Bridgeton Blog! 19th September 2025 This was the week of Witches, Mucky Brew and our second Magic Ball adventure!! Dancing Warm Up We began with a Dancing Warm Up! Everyone shared their best moves. Funky Chicken Then we met some awesome animals! These in included: Howida's Funny Cat  Lin's Angry Bunny  Salah's Excited Tiger  Moira's Cheeky Crocodile! Mucky Brew Mucky ME Mucky YOU Mucky mucky mucky BREW! This was a fruity brew. We poured, sprinkled and rubbed all sorts of funny things on our head! A big watermelon A big pineapple Chopped apple A big egg A big kiwi A booger (yuck!) A chocolate cake Grapes A pomegranate Witch's Fingers! I'm going to drink...a bottle of....POISON! We ran away from those tricksy witches as quick as we could! Magic Ball Then one of the magical witches found the Magic Ball. It took us to MUDLAND! We got stuck in the mud. We couldn't get out! What could we do but have a big....mudfight! Just then, a noise. I wonder who lives in Mudland? It's a monster! Luckily he was just hungry. He loved the bread and jam we gave him. Castlemilk Blog! 18th September 2025 Funky Chicken This week we turned into wonderful witches and other magical creatures! But not before playing Funky Chicken! We met Charlie's Slow Sloth and Sayeda's Angry Cat. Muhammed's Happy Horse and Nicola's Snappy Crocodile. Bassie's Wild Rat and Max's Depressed Gorilla. Ramisa's Grumpy Cat and Anusha's Angry Donkey! Witches Fingers Ha ha ha ha ha! I am a witch! And I'm going to drink a bottle of... Water!  Pineapple! Mud! Cheese! POISON!! We had Abu Witch and Muhammed Witch, Anusha Witch and Claire Witch...Sarah Witch and many more witches besides! Mucky Brew These witches decided to make a Mucky Brew filled with all sorts of yummy and yucky things. Flour and rotten eggs Dinosaur's blood and gloop Mud and chocolate! Magic Ball Just then we found the Magic Ball.... Magic Ball, Magic Ball Take us where we want to go! A Woodland Adventure The Magic Ball took us to the woods. Where the bears live! We fed the bears potatoes. Not the poison potatoes! Once they were full, the bears took us to the elves! We met an elf who was making a cake. We helped the elf bake the cake and got to try some. Porridge & Play Whiteinch Week 3

Whiteinch Blog! 17th September 2025 I'm going to drink a bottle of... Pomegranate! Pineapple! Grass! Toenails! POISON!! This week we dressed up as magical creatures and played Witches Fingers. Mucky Brew Feeling witchy, we then made a Mucky Brew with Orange juice Tea Apple Slime Sticky wrappers Baby mice Cheese for the mice Sand and some of Branch’s hair for good measure! We were so sticky and mucky we had to have a quick shower and dry off. But then! Sarah found the Magic Ball. Magic Ball It took us to America where we bought hot dogs from a vendor and helped him make more. They were such funny flavours - chocolate and cheese! We found a red octopus and a pool of freezing water. Ruby was a bit scared to go into the water but everyone helped her. So we released the octopus back into the ocean and had a swim with it! Bridgeton Blog! 12th September 2025 Week 2 – woohoo! We warmed up by making ourselves as Big as a Bear…and as fast as a hare! As well as these rhyming creatures, you came up with loads more! There was: Dua’s Dying Bee Alan’s Metal Chicken Ouff’s Flying Snail Emilia’s Jogging Shark Maab’s Funky Chicken Zara’s Pinching Crab Leeanne’s Angry Tiger Zhara’s Funny Cow Awoooo! Did you say something? What’s the time Mr Wolf! There’s only one animal in the Storyplay woods who has a watch. We got ready for school with Mohammed Wolf. He had a gold and silver watch. We crept about with Wilhelmina Wolf. Suliman Wolf lived in deep water and wore an orange watch. Scary Wolf Dua lived at the end of the forest and liked to hunt. Dinner time! Castlemilk Blog! 11th September 2025 Awesome Animals This week was all about Awesome Animals. We met Carina’s Jumpy Dog and Evie’s Crazy Chicken. Charlie’s Eating Seal and Ruby’s Cheeky Kangaroo. Maria’s Scared Elephant. Kevin’s Cheeky Capybara. Letter to my Love These animals were very loving! 🎶 I sent a letter to my love and on the way I dropped it… 🎶 Someone must have picked it up and put it in my pocket!  🎶 Was it you or was it you...? Dressing up When we dressed up we met a whole host of other animals! Maria the Bat who eats Fruit flies La la Ladybug who eats Cheese Sammy the Snake who eats Evies! A bunny called Betsy who eats carrots. And a sloth who eats Gum Trees. But there’s only one animal in Storyplay who has a watch… What’s the Time Mr Wolf! There was Diamond Wolf and Vine Wolf. Whiteinch Blog! 10th September 2025 Do you know the Funky Chicken? You do? Fantastic! But what about Shahla’s Excited Snake? And Zofia’s Dancing Butterfly? Jie Jie and Nina’s Happy Cats made us purr. Milad’s Fire Monkey made us hop around. Amjad’s Flying Bird made us soar. Franky’s Clumsy Seal made us flop (and laugh!) Andre found a Letter to My Love And we took turns to hide and reveal the letter while singing our song! I sent a letter to my love... And on the way I dropped it 🎶 When we dressed up, even more animals appeared! There was Andzelika’s Angry Bear and Aaliyah’s Snow Cat. Christell was a snake that slithered across the forest floor. Menna, Lara and Lina became a family of wolves… And everyone knows the Wolf is the only animal in the forest who owns a watch. What’s the time Mr Wolf? Amjad’s Wolf lived in a tree house and had a watch made of metal. He liked eating foxes… Deon’s 99 Wolf lived in a cave and liked eating people – eek! Bridgeton Blog! 5th September 2025 Howdy Bridgeton, it was brilliant to see you all again on Friday. You’ve all grown tall as trees! It really is GREAT to be back for another year of Storyplay family fun at Bridgeton St Francis. We welcomed 3 new families to our group and introduced them to some of our favourite Licketyspit games – Funky Chicken, Flying Balloons, Dressing Up and Magic Ball. We also played Leeanne’s game Street Catch, which is part of the All Scot Playcards we made together in 2022. You can find out how to play it by clicking on the playcard ----> We dressed up in wonderful ways! We met SuperMum who arrived from her kitchen on a plane and SuperGod who fights villains. The Magic Ball took us to another dimension,  where we met a villain! Luckily SuperGod was there to keep us safe. We realised we were next to the Red Sea so we decided to have a swim. The water was so refreshing. Then we came upon a ship and we climbed aboard. Just in time! A shark was swimming towards us. Whoosh! SuperGod threw the shark into space What a relief. Porridge & Play Castlemilk Week 1

Castlemilk Blog! 4th September 2025 How cool is Castlemilk Library!? Not only is it bursting with books, it’s also a place where you can Storyplay, chat, eat and make new friends. It was great to see some familiar faces as we returned for the 4th year of Porridge & Play Castlemilk. Abu helped us at the sign in table as we welcomed new friends from St Bartholomew’s Primary and Arnwood Nursery Quick as a flash, we picked up our balloons and soon we were flying high above Glasgow! Gracey, Evie and Freya spotted a dinosaur – and oh no! It was eating their toes! We also saw lions and tigers, eating steak. Feeling a bit peckish, we flew down to grab some. Charlie spotted a llama and Danylo saw a hedgehog. They both made a lucky escape from that lion! When we dressed up we turned into all sorts of people. Just like in books, in Storyplay you can be anyone, go anywhere and do anything! We met Mr Spider, Strawberry, Mrs Dinosaur, Mrs Potato, Mr Peach from the beach, Mr Fishy, Mr Llama and many more new friends! Magic Ball, magic ball take us where we want to go! Porridge & Play Whiteinch Week 1

Whiteinch Blog! 3rd September 2025 Wow wow wow, what a fantastic first week back in Whiteinch! We loved meeting up with old friends again, and introducing them to new friends from Whiteinch Nursery and Whiteinch Primary. The Funky Chicken was joined by the Cheeky Monkey, the Crazy Cat and even the Happy Capybara! Then up we went in our Flying Balloons! Candice saw the River Clyde. Lina saw a boat – it was a pirate boat! With birds and butterflies flying high above. Aaliyah saw a running cat and Elijah heard music from the pirates! Virginia spotted some ice cream and we all flew down for a cone. Deon had a sweet blue ice cream and Gaia had a bubblegum ice-cream. But oh no, Gaia spotted some lava – it was a volcano! And Nina saw people trying to jump into the volcano and a bear entering the lava! With a library card you can take loads of books home! Lucky we were so high up. Just then, a Naughty Seagull popped the balloon and sent us back to earth. When we were back, we transformed into a collection of fun and magical characters. A bit like characters from books! Picnic & Play with our CRANHILL HUB!

The weather was warm, and we had great fun dancing and playing games. Luckily for us, we met some very interesting friends of the Funky Chicken too. There was Annemarie’s Sassy Seahorse, Omar’s Angry Lion and Ahmad’s very Stinky Crab! We also met a very Silly Axolotl and an Old Elephant.   We had lots of fun with a very clever bunch of witches too who had marvelous witchy cackles and some very exciting juices including purple poison and large amounts of seagull juice. Very tasty! Talking of seagulls, we saw some very cheeky ones at the beach who liked sandwiches and muffins. One of them actually swallowed a muffin whole! We all enjoyed a tasty picnic and some yummy ice-cream which was a real treat. Then after all the delicious food we went to explore the beach and had so much fun together, paddling in the sea and finding treasure on the beach. We found pools of water in the sand,bright green seaweed, lots of different shells and even a crab skeleton. It was such a lovely day and just before it was time to go home, we had a game of Olly Olly Octopus which was so much fun!
